AS if all the upheaval off the pitch isn't bad enough, even the weather seems to hate us.

I was gutted when referee Joe Ross deemed the County Ground pitch unplayable on Saturday.

He clearly had no choice but it did deprive the fans of their chance to show their support for Roy Evans.

The lads at Adver Towers were confident our Don't Go Roy poster would be well received and that Roy Evans would be left in no doubt as to the strength of feeling out there.

Sadly, that chance was cruelly snatched away.

Was it fate or more the fact we couldn't afford frost sheets?

Still, at least we didn't have the pantomime that ensued at Bristol Rovers.

It beggars belief that the Pirates' match against Hartlepool was allowed to go ahead.

Where's the consideration for those who travelled down from the north east?

Did the referee seriously think the pitch was playable at 3pm and unfit for football 10 minutes later. Nothing short of a joke.

Bring back the days of burning straw on the pitch. That'd do the trick.
