CARLOADS of people have been stopping to admire Christmas lights both on the house and in the garden of the Lockey and Northall families at Priest Acre, Fyfield, in the last few weeks.
Many have used the collecting boxes to make donations for this year's cause, the British Heart Foundation, which was chosen by the families.
Roly Lockey puts up the lights each year with his brother-in-law Mark Northall.
They are hoping the latest display will raise more than last year when they held their first collection and raised £230 for the Bluebell Nursery, in Lockeridge.
To add to the static display of Christmas lights, Mr Lockey has been dressing up as Father Christmas at weekends much to the delight of local youngsters.
They have been adding more and more lights and a new £300 illuminated nativity scene is the centrepiece of this year's display.
The families chose the British Heart Foundation to benefit from this year's display because a neighbour's daughter, Samantha Bushnell, four, had open heart surgery as a baby, and because the families have lost several good friends in the village with heart disease over the last few years.
