ELLINGHAM & Ring-wood's unexpected extended run in the National Cup finally came to an end on Saturday when they were narrowly beaten 8-6 in the fifth round by Sussex-based Newick.
Despite originally being knocked out at the third round stage, the Ringwood side were twice reinstated after the clubs who beat them in the third and then the fourth round, were later discovered to have fielded ineligible players.
