BIRDWATCHER John Pollard was honoured at Wiltshire Ornithological Society's last meeting.
Mr Pollard, who died in May, was the manager of Barclays Bank, Warminster.
He was a keen cricketer and the society's treasurer for 20 years.
He was due to receive an honorary life membership, but died before he could receive it.
The inaugural John Pollard memorial meeting was held in Devizes on December 12.
His son and daughter came up from London and chairman Dr John Austin presented them with their father's certificate.
Dr Austin said: "John was tremendously outgoing and was a very active member. He had given such a long service, and was heavily involved in the forthcoming Birds of Wiltshire book.
"He is held in such esteem that we decided to hold one meeting a year in his memory."
