SANTA paid children a watery visit last weekend when he hopped on board a barge on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Bradford on Avon.
Adults and children got into the festive spirit filling the boat, the Barbara McLellan, on all four trips as it cruised up and down the wharf.
Santa joined them halfway round and gave every child a present while adults enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies.
Canal volunteer John Froggat said: "It was a wonderful weekend. Children and adults all had a really good time and it was nice to see so many people getting in the festive mood."
The west Wilts branch of the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust is always looking for volunteers.
