RSPCA inspector Stephanie Daly has returned to Wiltshire, the county in which she grew up, to begin the next step of her career with the animal welfare charity.
Stephanie, 29, has returned to the area as the new inspector for Swindon, having transferred from Manchester where she has spent the last three years with the RSPCA.
She joins a team of six RSPCA inspectors and three animal collection officers (ACOs) in Wiltshire and East Dorset and will be responsible for covering Swindon as well as Wroughton, Faringdon, Cricklade, Purton, Haydon Wick and Highworth.
She joined the society as a trainee inspector in September 1997, having grown up in Wootton Bassett.
She said: "I'd wanted to be an RSPCA inspector since I was 17 but you have to be 22 to apply for the job so I went off and starting planning my course of action. It just goes to show that if you set your heart on doing something, you can achieve it.
"It's nice to come back to the area where I grew up to continue my career. It's going to be a busy patch but I'm looking forward to the challenge."
