A BUSINESS studies student who feared she had lost three months of college work when her car was stolen has been reunited with both car and contents.
Hayley Munday feared she had lost all the work she had done since starting her course at Swindon College in September when her car was stolen.
The white Rover Metro was left in the car park of the church hall opposite Cavendish Square, in Park South, at 9pm and was nowhere to be seen when Hayley wanted to drive it to college in the morning.
A distraught Hayley thought she had not only lost her means of getting to college but also irreplaceable files, notes and project work.
Fortunately, the car was found a few hundred yards from where it had been stolen and all the college work was inside.
But the car still has a broken door, steering wheel and radio and thieves and also taken CDs and videos.
Hailey said: "It's not what I needed just before Christmas but at least its back. The police found it abandoned just around the corner.
"I'm relieved to have my work back it's just a pain because I haven't got a car to drive to college in because of the repairs."
