RAZOR RUDDOCK has committed himself to Swindon Town despite his intense disappointment at seeing Roy Evans quit.
The player-coach has also hinted that he would be prepared to take on the manager's role should it be offered.
He said: "I was gutted to see Roy go. He was a great man to deal with, a good coach and a good friend of mine.
"But before he left he told me and Crozza to keep our heads up and get on with the job in hand.
"He's only a phone call away as well."
But Ruddock has calmed fears that he would follow his old boss.
He said: "I've got a three year playing contract and there's no way I'm walking away.
"I'm enjoying my football and there's no way I'd turn my back on the people that have made my stay here so enjoyable."
Although he still has the hunger to play, Ruddock wants to make progress up the coaching and managerial ladder.
He said: "I'm really enjoying the coaching side and I'll keep learning because I want to go into management one day.
"You just never know what's around the corner."
But the Razor is focused on tonight's match and the busy Christmas period which is looming.
He said: "This is an important time of year, it always has been.
"You have three or four games in a couple of weeks and these matches can sometimes make or break your season.
"But Crozza and I had a meeting with the players and told them we've all got to stick together. If we do that then we give ourselves every chance of being successful."
