A MAN is seeking witnesses to a hit and run accident which caused up to £3,000 of damage to his car.
Martin Iles is offering a £200 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the conviction of the motorist.
The accident happened at the junction near the Malt and Hops pub on Oxford Road.
Mr Iles' father-in-law Michael O'Sullivan was driving the car having just taken Mr Iles and his wife Caroline to a Christmas party.
Driving from the direction of Old Town, he stopped at the lights before turning the dark green Vauxhall Cavalier right into Cumberland Road.
He had almost cleared the exit when he was struck from behind by another vehicle travelling from the direction of the County Ground.
The Cavalier was sent spinning across the road.
The other vehicle did not stop and Mr O'Sullivan was unable to give police a description.
"Somebody somewhere must have seen something or know who is responsible for this," said Mr Iles.
His father-in-law was only insured to drive the vehicle third party, which means Mr Iles cannot claim for any of the damage.
Police spokeswoman Alvina Kumar said the accident, on Monday at 8pm, was being investigated.
If you have any information call Swindon Police on 528111.
