WHILE tucking into a delicious turkey Christmas dinner, it is surprisingly easy to forget those less fortunate than ourselves.
But thanks to a group of hardworking volunteers, about 40 homeless and lonely people found some Christmas cheer at Swindon's Care at Christmas shelter.
The shelter gives food, warmth and companionship to those without anywhere to spend Christmas.
Today the Adver would like to pay tribute to those who run the shelter.
For their sacrifice and hard work sums up the true spirit of Christmas, in a world which sometimes seems to have forgotten what it's all supposed to mean.
