A BID for permission to build 68 new houses in Wroughton is being considered by planning officials.
The applicant is listed in Swindon Council records as a Charles Church-Weston, acting through a Hampshire-based agent, Oldfield King.
Nobody at Oldfield King could be contacted for comment.
Submitted on December 3, the application relates to land to the south of High Street in Wroughton, and also covers associated roadworks.
Planning officers are studying the details of the bid prior to making a recommendation to members of the planning committee about whether they should grant permission for the new homes to be built.
Meanwhile, Kennet District Council is to consider an application to build two eco-houses in Ludgershall. Eco-houses are specially designed to minimise the consumption of natural resources, both during their construction and in the amount of power needed to run them.
Sarsen Housing Association, acting through Wroughton-based agents Nigel Clark Architects, wants to put up the structures at 74 and 75 Johnson Way.
