Police believe two teenage boys who stole £820 in cash and jewellery worth £1,200 from a Marlborough pensioner on Saturday, December 22, also entered a Pewsey pensioner's home.
At about 7.30pm an 82-year-old woman in St John's Close, Marlborough, found two boys in her house. One kept her talking while the other took the cash and jewellery from her bedroom.
Half an hour earlier a 78-year-old woman in Coronation Close, in Pewsey, had found two boys in her bedroom. They said they were looking for a lost cat and left without taking anything.
In both cases the boys were 15, had short hair and were wearing dark anoraks. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on (01672) 562222 or (01672) 512311.
