DANNY INVINCIBLE wants to put the 'faith' back into the County Ground faithful against the Shakers tomorrow.
The Aussie striker was another player who sensed the unhappiness of the crowd on Boxing Day.
He said: "It was obvious that things weren't quite right and it has been a strange week for everyone concerned with the club.
"One manager has gone and another one has taken his place in the space of a day or so.
"But let's try and concentrate on the football.
"We really need to go out there and show Bury what we can do.
"The lads felt six points from the two Christmas home games was very important in pushing us towards the right end of the table.
"We only got one against Bournemouth so this game becomes very important.
"Bury aren't having a particularly good season and we had a great result up at their place earlier in the season.
"Let's put a performance together for the supporters and play for the whole 90 minutes in the way we know we can.
"Talking about getting results is easy I suppose but I'm confident we can get the result we need against Bury.
"That would push us over the 30 points mark at the halfway point of the season and hopefully we can go into the second half of the season with more confidence."
Although the player's aim was to be in double scoring figures by January 1, he has not given up on netting again before the year is out.
He said: "Personally, I would still like a couple more goals before we start 2002.
"That would be a great start to the new year for me."
