I would like to thank all the people and businesses from in and around Swindon who have supported CALM's work by donations and fundraising during 2001.
Eighteen years after CALM's arrival, local families with a child diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia continue to welcome the practical and emotional help that we can give them.
The voluntary and local basis on which the charity operates enables us to offer a personal service that families appreciate, but at the same time it makes us very dependent on the goodwill and support of the community.
Your readers have continued to contribute to collections and raise funds for us in so many imaginative ways this year, allowing us to look forward with confidence to continuing our work as strongly as ever.
Any readers who wish to contact CALM directly can e-mail our secretary at calmpost@hotmail.com or phone her on 01793 791470.
Don Macarthur
Chairman, Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Movement (CALM)
