May I suggest a New Year resolution for Swindon? A clean and tidy town.
I fail to imagine what impression visitors are given: they arrive at a filthy bus station with litter everywhere.
If one speaks to children for being litter louts, at best one gets a surly look, more often four lettered abuse. Some adults are even worse.
Years ago it was just not done, and considered extremely bad manners to eat in the street.
Croft Road is a half mile long rubbish dump, apart from the nightmare of drunks at weekends.
Would it also be possible to have clocks on public display that actually give the correct time?
The Octagon clock has been wrong for years, the clock in the square has been wrong for months. I despair of this country.
