ASHTON KEYNES: A book which takes a personal look at life in Ashton Keynes at the beginning of a new millennium has been distributed to householders in time to celebrate the dawning of 2002.

A questionnaire was circulated in the village two years ago to 550 houses asking occupants to record information including the names of those living there, occupations, place of birth, age and how long they have lived in Ashton Keynes.

It also asked for general information about villagers' hobbies and interests and provided space for residents to add any other information they wished to include about their family life.

The initiative, set up by the Ashton Keynes Millennium Book Committee, received a tremendous response which has helped produce a snap shot of life in the village.
