The woman who died in a house fire in Holbein Close has been identified as Donna Jones.
The 32-year-old mother died of smoke inhalation after fire swept through her two-storey mid-terrace home in Grange Park on the evening of Sunday, December 16.
Fortunately Miss Jones's nine year old son had been staying elsewhere with family on the night of the blaze.
Police broke down the door to the property in Grange Park but could not get further than the hallway because of thick smoke and heat.
Neighbours, who have since raised £950 for Ms Jones's son, alerted the emergency services after smoke was spotted coming from the house around 11pm. The blaze is thought to have started on the ground.
A neighbour, who asked not to be named, said Ms Jones had lived at the address for around three years.
