SIXTIES pop star Dave Berry took time off from a busy tour schedule to call in on his new 'shop' in Teffont on Saturday.
He brought with him a famous bass guitar, which he is selling at the antique and memorabilia stall he has established at the Farmer Giles Farmers' Country Market centre.
And Dave promised that his Teffont business will be carrying a lot more pop memorabilia from the '50s, '60s and '70s.
Dave, whose hits include The Crying Game, Little Things and Mama, has been friends with former Salisbury District Council chairman and Teffont councillor David Parker for more than 20 years.
He said: "I already have two shops which I opened in Sheffield and another near my home in Derbyshire.
"I love this part of the country and David suggested I open a third one in south Wiltshire - Teffont and the Farmers' Market seemed an ideal place."
