BRITNEY Spears has been taken into custody after a raid on a Swindon car boot sale.
The American pop sensation's film was among more than 700 video CDs and VHS cassettes seized when police and copyright experts pounced on a trader running a car boot stall at the Link Centre.
Rob Taylour, of Swindon trading standards, said: "I can confirm that the items were seized from a trader from Wiltshire at the car boot sale.
"The operation was conducted with police support and with a representative from the industry body FACT, the Fight Against Copyright Theft."
Titles seized in the raid on Sunday included the Britney Spears film Crossroads, Vanilla Sky, Ali, Gosforth Park, Monsters Inc and Lord of the Rings
All the titles are currently at the cinema and none have been released in the UK on either format yet, said Mr Taylour. Inquiries are continuing.
