Playstation games will soon be available at Wiltshire libraries in a move designed to attract youngsters to the service.
Videos, CDs and tapes are already available at libraries but it is hoped clicking into the console craze will pull in young men and boys, traditionally reluctant to use libraries.
The project, which initially will cost £16,800 to set up, received the thumbs up at the county council's community services advisory panel on Friday and should be underway next month.
Each library taking part in the scheme is expected to stock a mixed range of 100 PS1 and PS2 games, with between five and six new games added each month.
