A MOTORBIKE rider whose girlfriend died in an accident near Warminster is facing criminal charges linked to the crash.
Karen Lapham, 34, was killed in the accident on a stretch of the A362 known as Picket Post.
Rider Clinton Mortimer, 32, who lived with his girlfriend at Hill Ground, Frome, was due to appear in court on Thursday, March 21, on a careless driving charge.
Wiltshire Coroner David Masters recorded a verdict of accidental death at an inquest into Miss Lapham's death last month.
Police charged Mortimer with the driving offence in January after months of investigations by accident officers.
Appearing in North West Wiltshire Magistrates in Trowbridge on Thursday Mortimer's case was adjourned until yesterday.
He has not yet entered pleas.
Miss Lapham was rushed to hospital after the crash but died from neck and head injuries.
The couple were on their way to Sidmouth for a holiday at the time of the crash.
