CHILDREN who created and decorated their own books for a competition will find out in the next few days who has won.
The Warminster youngsters took up the challenge of mayor Chris March to write their own stories and draw pictures in time for the Madhatters and March Hare event next week.
Macmillan Cancer Relief is staging a Madhatters day on Tuesday, March 26, when a tea party will be held at the library.
Cllr March said: "It is a fun thing to take part in and we have lots of children coming to the tea party.
"It is all about making people aware of the serious purpose as well as the fun side of the tea parties."
He said the competition, which had two classes for under 11s and under sevens, had produced some impressive results.
Cllr Marsh said: "Some were quite impressive."
Three winners in each category will receive book tokens.
