A ROMAN Britain enthusiast is appealing for residents in Bradford on Avon to help him with an archaeological survey.
Adrian Powell of Poulton, Bradford on Avon, wants to compile a database of Roman discoveries that have been found in gardens within the Saxon town.
Mr Powell said: "I am interested in speaking to readers who have identified finds or remains in their gardens."
When the survey is complete Mr Powell hopes to place the results in the county archaeological unit and the Bradford on Avon museum.
If you can help, contact Mr Powell on 07949 214699 or write to him at 48 Poulton, Bradford on Avon, BA15 1EA.
Roman Britain in Bradford on Avon will be explored even further this year when archaeological students from Bristol University start to examine the remains of two Roman villas found at St Laurence School.
The remains, thought to be mirror images of each other, were discovered by experts last year.
Mark Corney from Bristol University said: "We are very excited about the villas."
St Laurence School headteacher Nick Sorensen said: "The plan is to involve our students but dates have not been finalised."
