CHILDREN and parents flocked to Bradford on Avon's scout headquarters on St Margaret's Hill on Saturday, March 16, to experience driving a model train.
The 36ft by 10ft track and accompanying train entertained more than 160 people as children exchanged their 50 pence admission fee for the chance to drive the vehicle.
Scout group leader, Tony Moth said: "It was a wonderful day and all the children seemed to enjoy themselves.
"We laid on tea and coffee for the parents as they watched the children have a go."
The railway was provided by two members of the West Wiltshire Model Railway Society and the scout group made more than £260, which will be used to fund activities.
Mr Moth said: "We have been running the event for the last four years and we hope to do it again.
"Everyone seems to enjoy it."
