I REPLY to Mr T Carbin's letter last week regarding the proposed road to link the Marina and New Terrace. As a resident of New Terrace, and having experienced the discomforts of living by the congested B3106 every day, I share his views that another entrance would make this road even more dangerous, especially for children walking to school.
I understand the field known as "Blacklands" will eventually be developed, otherwise this so called emergency road could have been re-routed, preventing the destruction of hedgerows, badger setts and archaeological history.
M Osborne,
Staverton.
