TRAIN passengers faced long delays last night (Thursday) after a landslip blocked the main line between Swindon and Bristol.
People travelling to Chippenham and Bath Spa were forced to take a coach. Those attempting to reach Bristol Temple Meads faced delays as services were diverted through Bristol Parkway.
It is the second time in just a few weeks there has been a landslip on the line at Saltford, between Bristol and Bath.
First Great Western general manager Elaine Holt said: "This landslip has caused severe disruption to our services, but I would like to reassure customers that we are doing everything we can to run as many services as possible with minimum delay."
