WILTSHIRE: Stratton Crosslink bid to represent the Wiltshire League in the final of the Wiltshire Senior Cup when they take on Malmesbury Vics in the semi-final of the competition to be played at Wootton Bassett's Rylands Way ground this weekend.

Crosslink manager Albert Dearing, in his first season with the Wiltshire Premier Division club, said: "I suppose you can say we will be the underdogs for the tie.

"It will be a tough old game against Hellenic League opposition but if we can compete well on the day hopefully we can get a good result.

"When you play teams from another league it always adds a bit of spice to the game. I've got a full squad to choose from and all the players will be up for it."

Malmesbury Vics, currently bottom but one in Division One of the Hellenic League, are the draw specialists in the section, having shared the points on ten occasions from 20 games.

Winners of the semi-final will take on Don Rogers Pewsey Vale side who beat Wroughton 5-2 in the other semi-final.

In the Wiltshire League Wroughton are at home to Bradford Town and need to get back to their winning ways if they are to challenge for the runners up spot in the table.
