Two local anglers carried off top prize in the Royal British Legion National Pairs on the Bristol Avon at Barton Farm and the Kennet & Avon Canal at Bradford.
One member of each pair fished on each and Melksham matchman Eddie Hook and Dave Meakin eventually clinched the national title with 71 points on a day when fish proved hard to catch.
