Michael Wills, MP for North Swindon, was due to attend a meeting today (Friday) with students as part of an scheme to encourage young people to take an interest in politics.
Speaking at the meeting at the lecture theatre at Swindon College this afternoon was Catherine Meaden, from Opinion Leader Research, who arranges focus groups.
She will help the students understand the process behind focus groups, the benefits of good research, and how that research fits into the political process.
Mr Wills said: "This project is about giving young people an insight into how politics works. Politicians need to go out and find out from young people why they feel alienated."
