Swindon College Old Boys always held the upper hand as they defeated Westbury 24-14 to reach the final of the Dorset & Wilts 1st XV Vase.
The Southern Counties South side travelled south to face the Dorset & Wilts Division 1 leaders at their Leighton Sports Ground, and it was they who drew first blood as full-back Tony Flower once again opened the scoring with a sweetly struck penalty.
The Swindon-based side continued to produce some entertaining rugby but couldn't quite finish off the phases of play.
College's first try was from an excellent lineout move from which scrum-half Neil White drove his way over the line. Flower converted.
Kev Wills produced a man-of-the-match display, while the Old Boys' other scorers were Mark Williams and Nobby Clarke.
