IN answer to the letter from B Sedgley, I disagree.
The average person in the street cares very much about seeing an end to animal abuse.
Of course, all the things he mentioned are very important, we would all hope for improvements in these areas.
But that should not mean that cruelty to animals has to be ignored.
We cannot call ourselves a compassionate society if we continue to allow a minority of people to carry on rampaging around our countryside, causing havoc and getting away with inflicting cruelty on animals in the name of sport.
