IT WAS all smiles for Dorothy Smith as she reached her 100th birthday.
Mrs Smith, of Stratton St Margaret, celebrated reaching her century with a party thrown by family at the White Hart pub in Stratton.
She has lived in Swindon for 35 years, and it is her second spell in the town where she to returned after teaching in Berkshire.
Mrs Smith, who lives at the Wemyss Lodge Residential Home, has two daughters, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She said: "It's nice to be here and nice to see the family because we are all in different parts of the country now.
"Swindon has changed so much during my life. When I'm driven around now I don't recognise the place."
Granddaughter Lynne Christie from Langford said: "Gran is smashing we all love her to pieces.
"She has always had loads of time for all her grandchildren and even though not many of us still live in Swindon we all make the effort to go and see her."
