POLICE today retraced the last known movements of mum-of-four Linda Razzell.

It included the final moment she was seen, walking along an alleyway on her way to work a week ago.

Detectives later found her mobile phone in the alleyway but Linda, a support worker at Swindon College, has not been heard from since despite appeals from her family.

The reconstruction, in which a police support worker took the role of Linda, traced her journey last Tuesday in the mum's Ford Escort and later on foot.

She dropped her four children off at their schools, the last at Southfield's in Kings Avenue, Highworth, then travelled to Swindon's Alvescot Road, Old Walcot.

She left her car in Alvescot Road and walked through an alleyway leading into Upham Road the alleyway where her telephone was found and on to Drove Road

A probable walk through Queen's Park would have brought Linda near to the main entrance of Swindon College.

Police hope the reconstruction will jog people's minds about Mrs Razzell's last known hours, and that it will give them vital clues to her whereabouts.

Their search for her has included dragging lakes at Queen's Park and Lawn Woods, but has so far proved fruitless.

Detectives today set up a mobile police station at Queen's Park, where they spoke to around 50 members of the public in the hope that they may uncover some information about her movements last Tuesday.

Linda, 41, had been going through an acrimonious divorce from her estranged husband, Glyn. They had been due in court on the day she went missing to settle the financial details of her marriage split.

Their children Catherine, 14, Matthew, 11, Emma, nine, and five-year-old Robin, are being cared for by her boyfriend Greg Worrall and family members at their home in Pentylands, Highworth.

Yesterday, detectives announced the extension of the search to Wales, in the hope that the missing woman might return to the area where she grew up.

She is said to know the Carmarthen area very well and members of her family think she may have gone there.

The registration of the Ford Escort Mrs Razzell was last seen driving is L955 XDG and she was last seen wearing grey baggy trousers, a grey shirt-like top, brown slip-on ankle boots and a black half or three-quarter length coat with large plastic buttons.

She is white, 5ft 1ins tall, slim with dark curly shoulder length hair which she was wearing in a clip when last seen.

During the school, run, Linda also dropped Honda worker Mr Worrall, who had spent the night at her home, back at his own address in Swindon.

Detective Inspector Paul Jennings said there is no information about any mobile phone calls made before she vanished but a number of missed calls were detected on the phone afterwards. He said that her passport remains at her home in Highworth and she has made no financial transactions from any of her accounts.

He said: "Her son Matthew is 12 on Thursday. It is beyond belief why Linda would want to go missing."

He said that a number of people whose morning journeys coincided with Linda's had come forward to help with inquiries.
