Cirencester Town boss Ray Baverstock has insisted that the club's pitch will be playable in time for this evening's clash with Sutton Coldfield.
Ciren's game against Chippenham was called off on Saturday, with the Smithsfield Stadium's playing surface badly suffering the effects of a string of home games and some wet weather.
Chippenham boss Tommy Saunders said he would be surprised to see the venue stage another game this season, but Baverstock is confident that tonight's game will kick off at 7.30pm as planned.
Baverstock said: "The pitch and the situation regarding Saturday's postponement was embarrassing to be honest.
"But a lot of work has been done, and the pitch should be playable."
If the game doesn't get the all- clear, Ciren will face something of a fixture backlog.
With the club moving to a new stadium next season, the current facility must be vacated by the end of April.
Adam Mayo returns to the starting line up after suspension, and keeper Kevin Sawyer will make his 200th appearance between the sticks after missing the chance to meet the milestone on Saturday.
Ciren (probable): Sawyer, Holt, Gee, Minturn, Wollen, Goodwin, Horgan, Mayo, Knight, Read, Miller.
Chippenham Town can edge closer to Dr Martens Premier Division football with a win at lowly Rocester tonight (7.45pm).
There is a slight fitness doubt over bench-warming striker Adie Mings, but other than that Tommy Saunders is blessed with a full contingent at this crucial stage of the season.
As such, no changes are anticipated from the side that beat Solihull 3-1 last Wednesday.
Anything other than three points for the Bluebirds would be viewed as failure, but Rocester are not completely clear of the drop and have plenty to play for.
It's the longest journey Town will endure all season, so facing the trek on a Tuesday evening isn't ideal preparation either.
Bluebirds boss Saunders said: "It isn't going to be as easy as people think.
"They still need the points and it's a long way to travel midweek.
"That said, anything less than three points would be a disaster. It's going to be tricky, but it's a must win game."
Chippenham (probable): Weaver, Davies, Dicks, Andrews, Rudge, Woods, Brown, Harrington, Tweddle, Rawlins, Bent
Wootton Bassett boss Pete Yeardley will hope his side can put a little distance between themselves and the drop zone when they host mid-table Shortwood United in the Hellenic Premier Division (7.30pm).
Recent defeats have seen Bassett slip to fourth from bottom, but a couple of wins hopefully beginning tonight would guarantee safety.
In the Screwfix Direct Western League Premier Division, Melksham entertain Yeovil Town Reserves (kick off 7.30pm).
Corsham Town continued to 'stop the rot' in Division One of the Screwfix Western League last night.
Mark Godley's side had slipped into mid-table after a succession of defeats, but a 1-1 draw with Larkhall Athletic took Corsham's recent run to three without defeat.
The Wiltshire outfit should have gained maximum points, though, after taking a 1-0 lead on the hour when forward Matt Pratley scored.
Larkhall equalised 20 minutes from time but boss Godley was satisfied with the display and said: "Overall I was pleased with the performance, although it was disappointing to give away a sloppy equaliser.
"At least we've stopped the rot though."
