SWINDON developer Bower Mapson has landed a prestigious national building award.
The Stanton Fitzwarren based firm was awarded the Daily Express British Housebuilder award 2002 for its sensitive approach to a series of four and five bedroom detached homes in the village of Bishopstone.
Company designer Peter Mapson said: "We were of course delighted to have won yet another award for our new homes development at Bishopstone. We believe that it is essential to ensure properties totally com-plement all elements of the environment."
The firm's most recently completed building project is Ashlar Court, in Marlborough Road, Old Town, set in landscaped ground and boasting a roof garden.
Built at the entrance to the Lawns on the site of a derelict transport yard, it has been hailed as an improvement to the area.
