WILL the candidates for the Borough Council elections in May ensure that Swindon's brownfield sites will be developed first, before any more green fields are taken?
The urban capacity study has found enough previously developed land for between 4,000 and 7,000 dwellings in the Swindon urban area. However, the developers for the Front Garden are poised to put in a planning application.
There were more letters from Swindonians to the draft Regional Plan asking for the town centre to be renewed first than from anywhere else in the South West Region.
The Government has got the message, so it is worth the electors of Swindon asking for the views of their local candidates on which way they see the future for Swindon, town centre renewal first or the Front Garden?
