PENSIONERS are being invited to attend a trip back in time to the days of the music hall.
The event is being organised by Swindon's very own tireless charity worker, John Holmes, proprietor of Holmes Music in Faringdon Road and takes place on Wednesday, April 24.
He hopes to take the senior citizens to Turners, a Northampton venue which bills itself as the UK's best old time music hall.
He said: "I already have many names on our guest list but I would like to find more seniors who would benefit from having a good day out to bring some enjoyment into their lives and experience some happy memories to take home with them."
Mr Holmes has been running similar day trips since 1994, and is best known in the town for his charity organ concerts.
In February, he successfully raised more than £20,000 to buy a new life support machine for Bristol Children's Hospital where his five-year-old grand-daughter Chloe was treated forlife-threatening bout of streptococcal septicaemia.
John hopes that Swindon's business community will help raise the £1,800 needed to take 100 senior citizens.
