SEVERAL lines of inquiry have been forwarded to detectives after police staged a reconstruction of missing mum Linda Razzell's last known journey.
Mum-of-four Linda, 41, of Pentylands, Highworth, was last seen eight days ago after dropping her children at school.
But there has been no trace of the Swindon College part-time learning support assistant since she parked her red Ford Escort in her usual spot in Alvescot Road, Old Walcot, on what is thought to have been her usual journey to work via Queen's Park.
Only her mobile telephone has been recovered in an alleyway linking Alvescot Road to Upham Road complete with missed calls thought to be from concerned members of her family.
Yesterday Linda's ex-husband Glyn appealed for her to return in time for her son Matthew's 12th birthday tomorrow: "Please come forward and let us know you are safe," he said.
He revealed that he had been interviewed by police for 11 hours on Friday: "They have been at the house with forensics and interviewed me," he said. " I think I have established my innocence."
He said that Linda had gone missing before but not for so long.
Yesterday's re-enactment involved a woman of similar build and height petite, 5ft 2ins and wearing similar clothes, making her last known journey from Southfield School in King's Avenue, Highworth, to the Drove Road entrance of Queen's Park.
A mobile police station was set up at the entrance to the park, which has already been searched by police, along with nearby Lawn wood. The re-enactment allowed officers to speak to more than 50 people whose routine coincided with Linda's journey.
For the past two years Linda had been undergoing an acrimonious divorce from husband Glyn.
Her Welsh cousin, 49-year-old Julie Westmore, is looking after Linda's four children Catherine, 14, Matthew, 11, Emma, nine, and five-year-old Robin.
Detective Inspector Paul Jennings of Swindon police is heading the investigation. He said that Linda's passport had been found at her home, that no money had been put into or taken out of her bank account and that she had taken no spare clothes.
"Her disappearance remains a mystery," he said. "I urge anyone who has information to contact police or Linda's family."
David Gates, deputy principal at Swindon College, said: "We are hoping that the reconstruction jogs someone's memory. Everyone at the college is very sombre."
Police can be contacted on Swindon 528111.
