CHIPPENHAM Town striker Adie Mings has been fined £80 for parking his car on a double yellow line while he bought a paper in the One-Stop shop in Sheldon Road, Chippenham.
At Chippenham magistrates court on Monday, Mings, 33, was fined £40 for failing to switch off the engine of his Citroen while inside the shop, £40 for parking in a prohibited area, on January 3, plus £35 costs.
Mings, addressing magistrates, said he was only in the shop for a minute, but accepted he had been in the wrong.
"I left the car there for too long and I left the engine running," he said.
Separate charges were withdrawn.
