CAMPAIGNERS fighting to stop houses being built in Chippenham's river valley are facing yet another planning battle.
Developers Redcliffe Homes Ltd and Laing Homes want to build on land next to Rowden Lane.
In January, North Wiltshire District Council threw out the joint application for 108 homes. The developers have appealed, but they have submitted another application for 138 homes.
Martin Singlehurst, of Rowden Lane who is a member of the River Valley Protection Group, said they were concerned about the environmental impact of the development and are determined to protect the two brooks, Pudding Brook and Ladyfield Brook.
When the latest plan is considered, the group and residents plan to reiterate their previous objections. "We will certainly be pushing the district council to throw the plan out," he said.
