MUSIC and drama students of all ages have put Malmesbury on the map at a festival of the arts in Bath.
Ten students from the Sandra McDowell studio of speech and drama picked up first place trophies in this year's Mid Somerset Competitive Festival.
The trophies were awarded in various categories of speech and drama, including story telling and acting.
Mrs McDowell, who opened the school in Cleverton 20 years ago, said she was delighted with the results at this year's competition.
"It is always tough at the Mid Somerset event. There are people competing from throughout the South West, including Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wales, but we did very well this year and came home with lots of prizes," she said.
As well as first prizes, the studio secured several second and third places after four days of tough competition.
Mrs McDowell enters students every year in the festival.
This year, 60 students entered, including adults and children from seven years old. "I am delighted for this year's winners. We will be entering again next year and will make sure we come home as heavily laden," said Mrs McDowell.
