SKURRAY'S WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: STRATTON Crosslink had only themselves to blame for not reaching the Wilts Senior Cup final, beaten 2-1 by Hellenic side Malmesbury Vics.
Crosslink had the better of the first-half chances and missed a penalty midway through the half.
The Hellenic side got off to a storming start, netting after just two minutes, the Crosslink defence allowing Chris Mintern to score with a free header.
Midway through the half, the Wiltshire League side drew level with a good individual goal from Gerry Wright.
A couple of minutes later Wright was brought down in the box by Vics' goalkeeper Graham Jones, but Jones then made amends by saving Wright's spot-kick.
Malmesbury enjoyed more of the pressure after the break and midway through the half Alan Griffin missed a great chance to give Vics the lead when he hit the post from close range.
However, Griffin eventually netted the winner 10 minutes from time with a shot from the edge of the area that took a deflection to wrong-foot the Stratton keeper.
Malmesbury Vics now meet Pewsey Vale in an all-Hellenic league final.
