YOUTH FOOTBALL: FC CHIPPENHAM booked their place in the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League under 15s cup final with a convincing win over Stratton Juniors.

FC Chippenham dominated the first half and were 4-0 up by the break. Stratton penned the home side back for much of the second half which was a much closer affair with one goal for each team leaving the final score at 5-1. Chippenham's goals came from Phillip Baker, Aaron Merryweather (3) and own goal.

They will meet Corsham Boys in the final.

Under 11s Division

CHIPPENHAM Town Rangers played White Horse Juniors in an end to end, entertaining game which could have gone either way.

Sean Hughes gave Rangers the lead followed by an equaliser from White Horse.

The game continued in this fashion with Rangers scoring followed by an equaliser until the game stood at 3-3 before Rangers scored a winner in the final minutes.

Rangers' goals came from Sean Hughes, who completed a hat-trick, and Scott Lee, with T Taylor (2) and C Ewles replying.

Trowbridge Town just got the better of their hosts Castle Combe Colts Black with a 2-1 win in a game that was open until the final whistle.

Josh Summers scored for the home side, with Tom Bonser and Daniel Talbot grabbing the all important goals for the visitors.

FC Chippenham could not make home advantage count in their game with Warminster Highbury as they went down 3-0. Visiting scorers were Sam Dufosee, Liam Flowers and James Lindsay.

Under 12s Division

JAMES Muir, Simon Oldham and Aaron Rowles scored for Devizes Town as they beat a gallant Shaw and Whitley B by the odd goal in seven.

Under 13s Division

STRATTON Juniors continued their assault on the title with a comprehensive 14-0 home win against Corsham Boys.

Jack Berkely-Smith (2) and Tim Kershaw kept FC Chippenham in the game away to Westbury Youth, but it was all in vain as Ashley Caws (2), Nathan Hallett (2), Aaron Billing and Lee Meaden scored for the hosts to register a 6-3 victory.

Pewsey Vale and Corsham United shared the points and six goals in an entertaining game at Pewsey. Fred Page, Nick Taylor and Dean Smart scored for the home side, with Tom Knight, Aaron Neal and Jake Marshall replying.

Salisbury Juniors completely overwhelmed White Horse Leisure and ran up 22 goals with only one in reply, Adam Welch scoring White Horse's consolation goal.

Under 13s Blue Division

CORSHAM made a strong start in their away game against Stratton and in the first ten minutes had two very good chances but on both occasions shot directly at the Stratton keeper Faulkner who saved well.

Following Corsham's bright start, Stratton began to come into the game and after powerful running by Ainsworth, Mills finished well to put Stratton ahead.

A second goal followed very quickly, again scored by Mills.

This pairing proved to be unstoppable on the day, with Mills scoring eight and Ainsworth three.

Corsham put up a spirited fight in the second period but Stratton ended the game 14-0 winners, with the other goals coming from Whitbread (2) and Hall.

Under 14s Red Division

IN a top of the table clash between second and third positions, Marlborough Town and Chippenham Town, Marlborough took an early lead when a cross from Matt Ford was headed in at the back post by Ben Crame.

Marlborough furthered their lead before the break, with Nick Smith meeting Will Bryant's free kick and firing home from six yards.

Fabian Prangle pulled one back for Chippenham with 15 minutes left, but Marlborough held firm to end 2-1 winners of a hard fought game.

Home side FC Chippenham were 2-1 down at the break against Devizes Town Youth, but they moved up a gear in the second half to win 3-2, thanks to goals from Andy Bull, Frasier Shaw-Morris and an own goal.

Jake Jordan scored a consolation goal for home side Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds in their 10-1 defeat against Shaw. Shaw's goals came from Ashley Manners, Martin Garstang, Ben Roberts, Luke McPherson, Iquebal Hanief (5) and own goal.

Under 15s Red Division

ONLY a goal from the penalty spot separated home side Malmesbury Youth from Devizes Town Youth in a very closely fought game.

Ashley Rake.was the player on target.

The game was marred just two minutes from time Devizes defender Clive North fell and broke his wrist and arm after jumping for a header.

Pewsey Vale held an understrength Melksham Park to a 2-2 draw after taking a 2-0 lead at the break.

Chris White and Hurkett scored for Pewsey, with Gary Perrott (penalty) and James Taylor replying for Melksham.

Under 16s Blue Division

FC CHIPPENHAM went seven points clear at the top of the table following their 2-0 away win against Westlea Wanderers.

Under 16s Red Division

BROUGHTON Gifford beat an under-strength Calne team 4-1 in an entertaining and physical encounter, which saw some great passing and movement from both teams.

A top of the table clash brought leaders Corsham Boys to Warminster Town in a six-pointer of a game.

Warminster needed the win to close the gap at the top, but it was not to be their day with one goal from Corsham sending them four points clear at the top.

Pewsey Vale returned to winning ways with a 1-0 home win over FC Chippenham.

Despite the score it was Pewsey who dominated throughout, but missed chances and a series of fine saves from the Chippenham goalkeeper, saved them from a heavy defeat.
