THE newly formed Ashton players are busy rehearsing for their forthcoming fantasy play Steeple Ashton Taylers.
The play, based on people from the village, runs from Wednesday April 3 until Saturday April 6.
The plays are written by Mike Montague Smith who, along with his wife Helen, has recreated the famous village green scene as a backdrop for the play.
Helen Montague Smith said: "We have revived the village drama group and we have all had fun rehearsing."
But she warned tickets are selling out fast.
Tickets for the event are obtainable from Rosemary Brett-Green, 9 Church Street, Steeple Ashton or by calling (01380) 870119.
