THE oldest swinger in town had a Trowbridge pub packed last week.
Fred Wedlock, who hit the charts in 1981, performed at the White Swan, Church Street, for a fee of a mining plaque off the pub's wall.
Landlord Peewee Hunt said: "A friend of mine found the plaque in a field near Kilmersdon about 15 years ago. It commemorates the opening of the Kilmersdon colliery and the pithead baths in 1934."
Mr Wedlock, himself a mining memorabilia collector, played in return for the plaque's donation to a museum in Radstock which commemorates the long-defunct pit.
Mr Hunt said: "The plaque belongs in the museum rather than on my wall and I was glad to hand it over."
