Wiltshire Health Authority has admitted it can't meet Government targets to reduce waiting lists by the end of this month.
The number of people waiting for operations stands at 12,938, which is 21 per cent over target. Some 2,500 outpatients have to wait more than 13 weeks for a consultant's appointment. Extra sessions are taking place to cut the numbers.
