SO just where are the elderly to go? It is a sad and depressing question, but one we are increasingly being forced to ask.
That is because the UK is experiencing a rise in its elderly population, yet at the same time, there are fewer and fewer care homes..
No-one wants to feel like a burden in the autumn of their years, but pensioners are being made to feel that way, simply because of a flawed and underfunded system.
A more immediate worry for the 55 residents of The Grange Care Home in Blunsdon St Andrew, is just where are they going to go next?
They need answers, and fast.
Sadly, it seems no one is prepared to step in and find a solution.
The problem gets pushed around by those in authority supposedly responsible for their care.
And until the Government overhauls the system, there is little indication that there will be any improvement.
