IT is nice to know that Cllr Gillham considers that we of Bradford on Avon were misunderstood, and that the Housing Association is now working quite closely with residents.
At the meeting on February 20, the Poulton Development Volunteers group was not given the information relating to alterations of the plans and was told that there will be a meeting for those connected with the local school on March 21, a drop-in session for the general public on April 11 to ask questions and raise issues, that the next group meeting is on April 24, and that the council would consider the planning application in April.
However, the council then held its planning meeting on this development before March 21 without information to the group, and, moreover, this meeting was held in Melksham.
Is it surprising, then, that we residents are misunderstood?
Perhaps this is an example of the council's desire to work closely with and for (?) the residents!
DR MALCOLM WALSH,
Trowbridge Road,
Bradford on Avon.
