Purton have a great chance to reach the Supplementary Cup Final, if they can cling on to their one-goal advantage over Finchampstead in the second leg at the Red House this weekend.
Their top marksman, Steve Tucker, sealed victory in the first leg with a superb individual strike and the defence then did their job to keep out the tough Division One East side.
Purton boss Alan Clarke said: "We will probably have the same players who played at Finchampstead with former Supermarine player Michael Silvanus added to the squad.
"They are a good big strong side with a very strong midfield and it's important we don't sit back on our lead. We have got to take the game to them and hopefully score the first goal which will be important. So I've told the lads not to be too confident or complacent and that they have all got to work hard."
The Purton side then face home encounter with Kidlington on Easter Monday and victory will keep them in the hunt for the Division One title should any of the leaders flounder.
The top game in the section will be at Pewsey where the league leaders take on second on goal difference Hook Norton in what could turn out to be a ding-dong battle. Hook Norton lost just two games all season and will be flat out to put the leaders in their place.

Purton boss Alan Clarke will no doubt be keeping a sharp eye on the results and if favourable could put his side into the firing line for the title.

Fairford Town will have a couple of league games to reflect on their league cup drubbing by Gloucester United last week before they play the second leg on Wednesday (April 3).

Wootton Bassett are in desperate need of six points, they visit Bicester on Saturday and entertain Pegasus Juniors on Monday.
Their 1-0 midweek defeat by Shortwood would have done nothing to lift the side but manager Pete Yeardley will be all out to get the best out of his side for the two games.
