TWO Swindon hairdressers have scooped awards in competitions across the country.
Both work in the Rage Hair Salon in Manchester Road run by manager Cliff Mighten.
Emma Adams, 23, who lives in Plymouth Street, won the first prize of £100, trophy and diploma in the Nicki Oliver academy award at the Blackpool Winter Gardens International Hairdressing Championships.
She said: "I was really chuffed when I heard I had won. After all the hard work its really rewarding to win.
Emma entered the same competition last year and stood fifth.
Emma Spurling, 19, of Salisbury Street has worked at the salon for three years and this week won the day-release Student of the Year at an award ceremony at Swindon College.
"I was absolutely gobsmacked when I heard the news," she said.
